- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwD: Up to 15 years

The SSC CGL 2026 selection will be conducted in two stages:
- Tier 1 (Qualifying Stage)
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Objective type questions
- Tier 2 (Final Stage)
- Main examination
- Final merit based on performance
